Role: Oracle DBA with AWS Migration Experience
Type: Contract (6 Months)
Location: Manchester, UK
Working Model: Fully Onsite
Payrate: 600 - 700 GBP/day on Inside IR35 on Umbrella
We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Oracle DBA for a 6-month engagement with. In this standalone, mission-critical role, you will be the ultimate technical authority for a high-availability database estate.
The Role:
*Act as the go-to technical expert for Oracle Database 12c, taking full ownership of stability, security, and performance.
*Diagnose and resolve complex performance issues on high-volume transactional workloads (using AWR/ASH, SQL tuning, and execution plan reviews).
*Design, test, and manage robust RMAN backup and recovery strategies.
*Partner with Dev and QA teams to advise on schema design, query patterns, and operational impact.
Your Experience:
*Active SC Clearance or SC Eligibility (preferred)
*Extensive hands-on experience as a DBA in high-availability Oracle 12c environments.
*AWS postgres Migration experience
*Deep technical expertise in RMAN, AWR/ASH, and SQL optimization.
