We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a growing industry business based in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong accounts payable experience who thrives in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
?? The Role As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and maintaining accurate financial records.
? Key Responsibilities *Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Matching, batching, and coding invoices
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
*Preparing payment runs (BACS/cheques)
*Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
*Assisting with month-end procedures
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date ledger records
Initailly this is a 12 Month Maternity cover owever this is a busy and part of a larger Finance divison so there could be potential for this to continue or become permanent.
?? About You *Previous experience in a purchase ledger / accounts payable role
*Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
*Excellent organisational and time-management skills
*Strong communication skills
*AAT qualification (or studying towards) desirable but not essential
