Job Description:
The Team and Focus of the Role
We are dedicated and passionate about encouraging the next generation into Surveying and Property so we are building a new team to focus on attraction into the industry through various pathways and engaging with a wider audience across the UK. As our new Early Careers Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in introducing the next generation into our business.
In this truly varied position, you’ll be involved in every stage of our Early Careers cycle — from advertising our Early Careers roles, building relationships with our key universities, supporting our Early Careers Manager and Talent Ambassador with implementing our strategy, co-ordinating training events for colleagues progressing through their APC, AssocRICS and Apprenticeship pathways, all the way to ensuring that all available data is kept up to date to assist the Early Careers Manager for their reports.
We’re looking for someone highly organised, proactive and passionate about delivering a first-class candidate and colleague experience. If you enjoy co-ordinating events and interview processes, collaborating across teams and providing a great service for our stakeholders at all levels, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our Early Careers strategy.
Based at our Birmingham or Ashby de la Zouch office within our hybrid working model, the role includes occasional travel to other offices and universities. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours) typically 8.45am – 5.15pm, with flexibility as long as our core hours of 10am–4pm are covered.
In return, you will benefit from a competitive package including:
· A discretionary bonus scheme
· A generous holiday scheme which commences at 25 days with a sliding scale up to 30 days plus an additional day for your birthday, and additional days to cover the festive period!
· Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave
· An online money saving portal
· Death In Service cover, alongside access to an Employee Assistance Programme which includes health appoints for you and your family
· Volunteering Leave equating to 2 days per year (pro rata if you’re part-time)
Duties will include:
· To be the first point of contact for all early careers queries
· Liaising with universities to coordinate events
· Drafting of job adverts and making live on all appropriate sites (internal ATS, university portals, Handshake, etc)
· Drafting and sending out of job offers
· Developing and maintaining long term professional relationships with educational institutions
· Coordinating all early careers recruitment related tasks such as setting up interviews, sifting through applications and placing adverts where appropriate
· Coordinating all internal training sessions (such as APC mentor training, etc.) and arranging monthly catch ups with the graduate team
· Assisting the induction process for early careers and advising new starters on their APC enrolment process or any relevant enrolment process required
· Assisting in the preparation of budgets
· Management of our Apprenticeship Levy
· Co-ordinating our online Insights programme. Assist with devising content, tasks and appointing mentors
· Keeping documents and systems up to date proactively
· Processing invoices
· Assisting with process improvements and active involvement with early careers projects
· Adhoc duties as required
The successful candidate will have...
· Previous early careers experience (desirable)
· Professional Services experience (desirable)
· Previous administration/co-ordinating experience
· High attention to detail
· Organised and can demonstrate prioritisation of tasks
· Proactive in identifying and advising on process improvements
· Great communication both internally and externally
· The ability to work well within a team and independently
· Inquisitive and forward thinking to maximise early careers opportunities and emerging trends
Why Fisher German?
We’ve been around for a while, but it doesn’t mean we are behind the times! Across our office network we offer a hybrid working approach to help our colleagues design their working day to suit their diaries. Some days you might be in the office enjoying a collaborative team day, and other days might see you focussing on project work at home. Wherever you choose to work, you’ll be part of a social and digitally connected workforce with the chance to get involved in a variety of activities, like sports events, pop-up bars, BBQs, CPD days, live leadership updates on Zoom, picnics in the park and lots more.
What’s not to love? We work hard but we also have lots of fun! If that sounds like something you would enjoy, then please get in touch.
We have a history going back as far as 1830 but have been Fisher German since 2000. We operate UK wide advising and managing a range of client portfolios with national visibility across all the 12-property market sectors; agriculture, commercial, education, green energy and sustainability, healthcare, minerals and waste, public sector, residential, rural, telecoms, third sector and utilities and infrastructure.
