Job Description:
Administrative Support - Temp
*Annual Salary: Equivalent to £27-28k depending on experience
*Location: York Ring Road
*Job Type: Full-time temporary for 2-6 months
*Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 9-5pm and Friday 9-4pm
We are currently recruiting for one of our long-standing clients who need additional support in the Administration team. This Administrator / Secretary will provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Managing incoming calls, emails, and correspondence promptly and professionally.
*Providing secretarial support including document preparation, formatting, and proofreading.
*Scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and diaries.
*Maintaining accurate records, filing systems, and databases (both electronic and paper).
*Preparing reports, presentations, and information packs as required.
*Processing incoming and outgoing post.
*Assisting with office procurement: stationery, supplies, and equipment.
*Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders where necessary.
*Supporting with invoicing, expenses, and basic finance administration (if applicable).
*Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
*Any other administrative tasks to support business operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial position.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
*Professional and approachable telephone manner.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Confidential, trustworthy, and able to use initiative.
*Experience using CRM systems or databases (desirable).
