Role: Benefits Lead
Rate: £600 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Length: Until 31 March 2026 (potential extension)
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to Swindon
Overview An experienced Benefits Lead is required to support a public sector organisation in delivering effective benefits management across a portfolio of programmes and projects.
This role will focus on establishing, tracking, and evaluating measurable benefits to ensure strategic objectives are achieved. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to embed robust benefits realisation frameworks and ensure outcomes are clearly defined, monitored, and reported.
Key Responsibilities *Lead the development and implementation of benefits management frameworks and strategies.
*Identify, define, and baseline measurable benefits aligned to programme objectives.
*Establish tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor benefits realisation.
*Conduct evaluations to assess programme impact and value for money.
*Engage senior stakeholders to ensure accountability and ownership of benefits.
*Provide assurance and challenge to ensure benefits are realistic, measurable, and deliverable.
*Produce clear reporting and insights to inform decision-making.
Essential Experience *Proven experience in benefits management within complex programmes.
*Strong evaluation and impact assessment experience.
*Experience working within the public sector environment.
*Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
*Ability to operate independently and provide strategic oversight
