Senior Credit Controller
*Annual Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
*Location: Northampton, UK (Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days WFH)
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Senior Credit Controller to lead and manage credit control activities across our business. This role is crucial for maintaining strong cash collection performance, enhancing credit control processes, and managing a team member based in the UK. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in integrating and optimizing collections tools and systems, ensuring efficiency and scalability in our customer communications.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Collections Ownership: Oversee the strategy and execution of collections across all customer segments, maintaining visibility and control over receivables and ensuring adherence to collections policies while fostering strong customer relationships.
*Hands-on Credit Control: Manage a personal portfolio of accounts, conduct outbound collections activities, and resolve invoice queries and disputes efficiently.
*Team Management: Lead and develop one UK-based credit control team member, setting clear objectives and ensuring high standards of process adherence and communication quality.
*System Integration and Management: Lead the integration of Intercom for SMB credit control and manage the effective use of Up flow as the primary collections platform, ensuring these tools are optimized to enhance collections activities and customer interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections, ideally within a high-growth environment.
*Demonstrable capability as a hands-on manager with a track record of improving collections performance.
*Strong customer communication skills and proficiency in handling escalations and sensitive issues.
*High competency in using collections systems and tools, with a preference for experience in Intercom, Up flow, or similar platforms.
*Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
Desirable:
*Experience with implementing collections workflows in platforms like Intercom, Zendesk, or HubSpot.
*Familiarity with AI-assisted customer communication tools in a financial or support context.
*Knowledge of enterprise billing cycles and systems such as NetSuite or Salesforce.
