Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - SEMH School Canterbury
Full-time | Term Time Only

Academics are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Canterbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
This role would suit individuals with experience in:
*Education (LSA, TA, Cover Supervisor etc.)
*Social care or youth work
*Residential or foster home settings
*Mental health support roles
*Behaviour support or alternative provision
The Role:*Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Building positive, consistent relationships with vulnerable young people
*Helping to regulate behaviour and promote emotional wellbeing
*Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom
*Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement support plans
The Ideal Candidate:*Resilient, calm and confident in challenging situations
*Able to build trust and rapport quickly
*Passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
*Previous experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs
*A strong team player with a proactive attitude
** £90 - £95 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
