Are you experienced in road freight forwarding and enjoy managing customer accounts in a fast-paced logistics environment?
A growing logistics business in Manchester is looking for a Freight Account Executive with strong road freight knowledge to join their branch team. This is a key role focused on managing client relationships and overseeing European and UK road shipments end-to-end.

The Role
You’ll be the main point of contact for key road freight clients, ensuring their shipments move smoothly, efficiently, and on time. From quoting and booking to tracking and resolving issues, you’ll take full ownership of the customer journey.

Key Responsibilities
*Managing UK & European road freight shipments (FTL / LTL / groupage)
*Providing accurate quotations and rate negotiations
*Coordinating with transport, warehousing, and customs teams
*Monitoring service levels and KPIs
*Proactively updating customers on shipment status and delays
*Handling queries, claims, and escalations professionally
*Building long-term client relationships and identifying growth opportunities

What We’re Looking For
*Experience within road freight forwarding (essential)
*Strong understanding of UK & European haulage operations
*Confident managing multiple shipments and priorities
*Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset
*Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
*Comfortable using TMS, freight portals, and Excel
