About the RoleProspero Teaching are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Birkenhead. This is a full-time position supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a mainstream setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and support staff to deliver tailored learning to pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs

*Support pupils with EHCPs and personalised learning plans

*Work with small groups and individual pupils within the classroom

*Monitor, assess and track pupil progress

*Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals

*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*Experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting

*Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies

*Excellent behaviour management skills

*A patient, empathetic and resilient approach

*An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
