School Receptionist – Eastbourne
Engage Education are currently recruiting for a full-time School Receptionist to join a welcoming and supportive school in Eastbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and personable individual who thrives in a busy front-office environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors.
The school offers a professional and friendly working environment, and this role would suit someone with previous reception or administrative experience, ideally within a school setting.
About the role
As School Receptionist, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents and external agencies
*Managing incoming calls and responding to email enquiries
*Supporting with attendance administration and pupil records
*Carrying out general office duties including filing, data entry and photocopying
*Assisting senior leaders and office staff with administrative tasks
*Ensuring safeguarding and visitor procedures are followed at all times
This is a full-time position and requires someone who can remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
About you
*Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role
*School office experience desirable but not essential
*Confident using Microsoft Office and school systems
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Professional, friendly and approachable manner
*Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload
