Job Description:
About the Role:
Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming primary school in Rock Ferry. This is a full-time position, working closely with children who require extra support to access learning and reach their full potential.
The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will work both on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
*Implement tailored learning strategies and interventions
*Support pupils with EHCPs and individual learning plans
*Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
*Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
*Monitor and record pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience working with children with SEND (school or alternative provision experience preferred)
*A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
*Strong behaviour management skills
*A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
*An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
