Job Description:
Primary Teaching Assistant (High-Achieving Graduate)
Are you a high-achieving graduate eager to step into the world of education and gain valuable classroom experience?
A well-regarded and inclusive Primary School in Westminster is looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP on a full-time, long-term basis.
This role is perfectly suited to aspiring teachers who are looking to develop their classroom confidence before progressing onto teacher training. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely alongside experienced class teachers, supporting pupils in Year 1, contributing to engaging lessons, and helping to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will hold a 2:1 or above degree in any subject and demonstrate a clear passion for pursuing a career in Primary Education. Previous experience working with children — whether in a school setting, tutoring, sports coaching or youth work — will be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will bring energy, patience and initiative to the classroom each day.
You will need to be nurturing yet resilient, adaptable to meet the needs of different learners, and fully committed to a full-time, long-term post within a supportive and well-structured primary school. This is a fantastic stepping stone for graduates seeking to build practical experience ahead of a PGCE or Schools Direct programme.
