1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Walsall WS2
Day Rate: £105 - 115
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism?
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with Autism, helping them thrive both academically and socially in a nurturing school environment.
Responsibilities:
*Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
*Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
*Support communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
*Implement strategies from EHCP targets
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
*Encourage independence and confidence
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience supporting children with ASD in a school setting
*Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour support
*Calm, patient, and proactive approach
*Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
*Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) desirable
