This is an exciting opportunity for a planning professional to join a respected national consultancy, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors.
The RoleAs a Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering planning advice and managing applications across a wide range of development projects throughout Wales and the wider UK. You will work closely with senior colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to provide strategic, commercially focused planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities*Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals

*Undertaking site appraisals and planning policy research

*Drafting high-quality Planning Statements and supporting reports

*Liaising with Local Planning Authorities, consultees, and stakeholders

*Managing smaller projects independently while supporting larger schemes

*Attending client meetings and site visits

*Monitoring planning legislation and policy updates

Candidate Requirements*Degree in Town Planning or related discipline

*MRTPI qualified or working towards Chartership

*Experience within consultancy or local authority

*Good understanding of the Welsh planning system (desirable)

*Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Proactive and organised approach to project management
