Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work within a nurturing school setting in Corby.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional emotional, social and mental health (SEMH) support to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role:*Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with mental health and SEMH needs
*Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and wellbeing strategies
*Working closely with the SENCO, pastoral team and external professionals
*Helping to create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
*Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate:*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
*A calm, patient and empathetic approach
*Strong communication and de-escalation skills
*A background in psychology, counselling, youth work or support work (desirable)
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
