Academics Ltd are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Swindon that is seeking a committed 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work closely with a pupil with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, tailored support to help a student access learning, develop confidence, and feel safe within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities*Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student with additional or complex needs

*Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

*Foster a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment

*Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

*Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and external professionals

*Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

Ideal Candidate*Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

*Calm, patient, and resilient nature

*Strong communication and interpersonal skills

*Ability to build trusting, consistent relationships

*Confident managing challenging behaviour where required

*Holds a current DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
