Job PurposeWe are looking for a Risk Analyst to support effective risk management across our water operations in Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring risks are understood, managed and used to inform decision making and priorities.
You will work closely with Operations to provide insight, support governance processes and contribute to robust, evidence-based investment and business planning.
The role offers broad exposure across risk management and financial planning, with opportunities to develop your skills and influence outcomes that matter to customers and the environment.


During this role, you will be expected to visit the Lancashire Hub and different outstations two to three times per week.
What You Will Be Doing:

You will support the identification, assessment and management of risks and provide analysis to inform business decisions. Your responsibilities will include:
*Manage and govern the County Risk Register, ensuring regular reviews and compliance with WRAP and ISO 55000 standards.
*Analyse risk trends and performance data to provide insights that support prioritisation, planning and decision-making.
*Supply risk reporting and management insight across governance forums (Tier 1–3), operational teams and business planning activities.
*Support business cases, regulatory submissions and investment decisions through risk, financial and data analysis.
*Build strong stakeholder relationships, contribute to continuous improvement, collaborate across regions and represent the Risk Manager when required.




What We Are Looking For:We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a collaborative approach and an interest in risk, finance and asset management. You will bring:
*Relevant educational qualifications and/or relevant Water Industry experience.
*A Certificate in Asset Management is desirable or willingness to work towards professional membership.
*Experience in risk analysis, data analysis, finance support, asset management or a related analytical role.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide clear insight
*Good communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at different levels
