Senior Environmental Consultant

The Role
As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you’ll deliver high-quality impact assessments and environmental advisory services across major UK projects. You’ll work closely with technical specialists from planning, engineering, environmental science and urban design to help shape complex schemes from early feasibility through to consent.
Key responsibilities:
*Leading and managing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects
*Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and reviewing technical inputs
*Producing EIA screenings, scoping reports, environmental statements and related deliverables
*Ensuring compliance with UK environmental legislation, policy and guidance
*Managing project programmes, budgets and client communication
*Supporting business development, including bids and presentations
*Providing guidance and line management support to junior team members
About You
You’ll thrive here if you’re collaborative, commercially aware and motivated by meaningful environmental outcomes.
We’re looking for:
*Degree-level education (Master’s advantageous)
*Full membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA or equivalent)
*Chartered status desirable but not essential
*Strong experience in environmental assessment and project delivery
*Understanding of UK EIA Regulations
*Experience in the Energy or Water sectors (desirable)
*Familiarity with the Development Consent Order (DCO) process (desirable)
