Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? We’re recruiting an HGV Operative / Technician to join a specialist operational team supporting environmental and infrastructure services across the UK. This role combines HGV driving with practical site-based work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys varied work and getting stuck into technical tasks.
About the Client:
We’re supporting an established UK organisation delivering specialist environmental and infrastructure services across sectors including utilities, transport and industry. The business has a strong reputation for operational excellence, safety standards and developing skilled teams who can respond to complex site challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Operating company vehicles including tanker units (HGV Class 2)
* Carrying out high-pressure water jetting and spill response clean-ups
* Supporting groundworks, remediation activities and tank uplift projects
* Assisting with tank and interceptor installation, servicing and inspections
* Delivering industrial cleaning and environmental support services
* Supporting emergency response teams when required
* Completing vehicle checks and working in line with tachograph regulations
* Working to strict health, safety and environmental procedures at all times
What We Need From You:
* HGV Class 2 licence (ADR desirable but not essential)
* Knowledge of tachograph use and vehicle checks (training can be provided)
* Hands-on attitude with willingness to support operational site work
* Background in environmental services, groundworks, construction or similar industries
* Plant operation experience would be beneficial
* Flexible approach to travel and occasional overnight stays
