Interim Credit ControllerLocation: Birmingham (Central - office-based, 5 days per week)
Contract: 6 month FTC (strong potential to extend)
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
The OpportunityA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Credit Controller to join a large, fast paced finance team in central Birmingham.
This role is suited to a confident and commercially minded professional who can take ownership of the credit control function, build strong relationships, and drive cash collection performance from day one. You’ll be joining a business undergoing positive change, offering excellent exposure and a highly engaging working environment.
Key Responsibilities*Managing a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely payment
*Proactive chasing of outstanding debt via phone and email
*Building strong relationships with key clients to improve cash flow
*Allocating incoming payments and maintaining accurate records
*Resolving invoice queries efficiently to minimise delays
*Producing aged debt reports and supporting month-end processes
*Working closely with wider finance and sales teams
About You*Proven Credit Control experience within a fast paced environment
*Previous interim/temp contract experience essential
*Ability to hit the ground running and deliver immediate results
*Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards
*Experience in medium to large finance teams
*Strong communication and negotiation skills
*Resilient, proactive and target-driven mindset
