We’re supporting a fast-growing manufacturing business in St Mellons to recruit an Assistant Accountant - perfect for someone studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA and eager to build their technical skills quickly.

The Role
You’ll play a key role in day-to-day financial operations, month-end activities and supporting wider business performance. Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting with daily finance tasks and analysis
*Taking ownership of the month-end close process
*Preparing management accounts
*Conducting stock valuations and reconciliations
*Managing prepayments, accruals and journals
*Maintaining the fixed asset register
*Processing bank payments
*Ensuring accurate, up-to-date financial records
*Taking on ad-hoc tasks across the finance function
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who learns quickly, wants variety and enjoys being hands-on.
Who this suits?
*AAT studier or early ACCA/CIMA
*2-5 years’ finance experience
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Proactive, ambitious and keen to grow
*Experience in manufacturing or stock-based environments is a bonus
