Interim Operations Manager – Manufacturing
Location: North Norfolk
Contract: 6 month fixed term contract
Start: ASAP
Day Rate: Competitive, depending on experience
About the Opportunity We’re supporting a well-established manufacturing business in North Norfolk that is seeking an experienced Interim Operations Manager to provide leadership and stability during a period of transition. The organisation is known for its high quality, strong customer base, and a commitment to continuous improvement, and they are looking for someone who can quickly add value and ensure operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on, fast-moving role ideal for someone who thrives in busy production environments and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to drive change.
Key Responsibilities*Lead day-to-day operations across the manufacturing site, ensuring production targets, quality standards and on-time delivery metrics are met
*Provide clear leadership to production teams, including supervisors and shift leaders
*Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
*Maintain a strong focus on health & safety, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
*Oversee workflow planning, resource management, and performance monitoring
*Support the senior leadership team with operational insights and data-driven recommendations
*Stabilise operations during a period of organisational change, ensuring continuity and strong communication
About You*Proven experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
*Comfortable stepping into an interim role and making an immediate impact
*Strong leadership style with the ability to motivate and influence teams
*Excellent understanding of lean methodologies and continuous improvement
*A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
*Able to quickly assess operational challenges and drive practical, sustainable improvements
*Confident communicator across all levels, from shop floor to senior stakeholders
