Assistant Credit Risk Analyst - Retail Bank/Challenger Bank
London: Hybrid Working (3 days a week in the office)
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and ambitious Assistant Credit Risk Analyst to join a growing Credit team within a specialist UK bank.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in Credit, Risk Management or Lending, with exposure across property finance, structured lending and asset finance.
You will play a key role in supporting the oversight, governance and administration of the Credit function, including:
*Supporting Credit Committee, Policy Review and Watch & Recoveries forums (agenda preparation, packs & minutes)
*Monitoring Credit policy review cycles and maintaining action logs
*Assisting with underwriting reviews and analysis of lending submissions
*Reviewing and approving initial loan drawdowns in line with sanction conditions
*Supporting portfolio reporting and credit risk oversight
*Assisting with management of the Bank’s professional panel
*Contributing to projects, change initiatives and ad-hoc Credit tasks
*You’ll be part of the second line Risk function, working closely with Credit and Lending teams across the Bank.
Requirements:
*1-3 Years of experience in credit risk or underwriting within retail banking or leasing business.
*Strong organisational and planning skills
*Excellent written communication (particularly minute-taking and reporting)
*High attention to detail
*Confident working across multiple stakeholders
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
*A proactive, team-oriented mindset
