Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Import & Export Air Freight Operator to join a busy and established freight forwarding team on a 9-month maternity cover contract.
This role is ideal for someone with strong end-to-end air freight experience who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and familiar with Cargowise
Key Responsibilities*Handling air freight import and export shipments end-to-end
*Creating and processing documentation (HAWB, MAWB, customs entries where required)
*Booking shipments with airlines and handling agents
*Liaising with overseas agents, customers, and airlines
*Monitoring shipments and providing proactive updates
*Completing entries and maintaining accurate records in CargoWise
*Ensuring all compliance and security procedures are followed
Requirements*Proven experience in air freight imports and exports
*Strong working knowledge of CargoWise
*Ability to manage shipments from start to finish independently
*Excellent attention to detail
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment
*Must be able to pass a full 5-year employment and referencing check
What’s on Offer*9-month fixed-term contract
*Monday to Friday working hours
*Two shift options: 08:00 – 16:30 or 08:30 – 17:30
