Salary: £27,000 – £35,000

Role Description
I’m working with a long-established and highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Chelmsford that are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper.


This role sits within a busy general practice environment supporting a broad portfolio of clients. The position will involve providing bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts services while helping clients transition and remain compliant with Making Tax Digital using cloud-based systems.

What you’ll do
*Provide bookkeeping services for a varied portfolio of general practice clients
*Prepare and submit VAT returns
*Produce management accounts for a range of businesses
*Support clients with Making Tax Digital compliance and onboarding
*Work primarily with Xero cloud accounting software, with some QuickBooks exposure
*Maintain regular communication with clients regarding their records and submissions


What you’ll need
*Previous bookkeeping experience within a UK accountancy practice
*Strong working knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting systems
*Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts
*Good communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
