Job Description:
Major Energy are currently recruiting for an Inventory Expeditor to join a global engineering and energy technology organisation based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely delivery of materials, equipment and documentation across complex supply chains, supporting manufacturing and sourcing priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
You will work closely with sourcing, project management teams and external suppliers to track progress, mitigate risks and ensure delivery commitments are met.
Key Responsibilities ? Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
? Monitor supplier progress and support the on-time delivery of goods and services
? Collaborate with sourcing and project teams to analyse schedules, capacity and delivery risk
? Prepare and maintain status reports on supply chain and manufacturing progress
? Liaise with suppliers to ensure documentation and materials are delivered correctly and on time
? Support the approval and provision of pre-production documentation
? Assist with resolving manufacturing deviations or clarifications during production
? Verify quantities, quality and specification compliance during the manufacturing process
? Work with stakeholders to identify and resolve operational or supply chain issues
? Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and supplier performance
? Report any EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) concerns
Requirements ? Experience in inventory control, expediting, supply chain coordination or procurement support
? Background in engineering, manufacturing, energy or industrial environments preferred
? Strong stakeholder management and supplier communication skills
? Ability to analyse schedules, delivery timelines and supply chain risks
? Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
? Proactive approach to problem solving and delivery tracking
Role Details * Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
* Working pattern: Office based (some flexibility with hybrid working)
* Hours: 37.5 per week
* Contract: Inside IR35
* Pay: £22 per hour
