Grounds Maintenance Worker – Rochdale Council
Location: Green Lane Environmental Management, Green Lane, Heywood, OL10 2DY
Contract: Full-time, 3-month temporary assignment
Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour (PAYE)
About the Role
Rochdale Council is seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Worker to join the Environmental Management team for a 3-month period. This role is essential in helping maintain clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces across the local area.
Key Responsibilities
*Litter picking across designated areas
*Emptying public bins
*General street and grounds cleaning
*Supporting wider environmental maintenance tasks as required
*Working hours are 7.30am - 16.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 7.30am - 12.30pm on Friday
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be:
*Physically fit and healthy – the work involves lifting heavy items
*Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
*Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
*Health & Safety aware
