Payroll Administrator
Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid
Salary up to £30,500 DOE

We’re working with a well-established organisation seeking a Payroll professional to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering payroll for a large and diverse workforce while contributing to continuous system and service improvement.

The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Advisor, you’ll support the delivery of an efficient, compliant and customer-focused payroll and benefits service.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while also contributing to the development of payroll systems and processes.
This role offers real variety, from day-to-day payroll processing to supporting HR system improvements and pension liaison.
Key Responsibilities
*Process salaries and benefits accurately and on time across multiple employee groups
*Maintain accurate payroll records, including salary, absence, statutory leave and pension data
*Support payroll reporting and preparation of pay runs
*Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, pension regulations and statutory payments (SMP, SPP etc.)
*Liaise with employees to resolve payroll queries professionally and efficiently
*Correspond with external agencies regarding deductions including arrestments, union subscriptions, salary sacrifice schemes and more
*Contribute to the ongoing development of an integrated HR & Payroll system
*Support audit and GDPR compliance requirements
*Ensure documentation and record management processes meet required standards

*Previous payroll administration experience
*Strong knowledge of PAYE, NI, pensions and statutory payments
*Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
*A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to service improvements
