Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with one of our valued partner SEMH and SEN schools in Northampton, supporting pupils across both primary and secondary age ranges.
This rewarding role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and associated behavioural challenges. As an HLTA, you will deliver planned interventions, lead small group sessions, provide targeted 1:1 support, and occasionally cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher.
The ideal candidate will:
*Hold HLTA status or equivalent experience
*Have strong behaviour management skills
*Demonstrate a calm, consistent and nurturing approach
*Be confident adapting learning materials to meet diverse needs
*Have previous experience within SEMH or SEN settings
