Kingston College is seeking an experienced and passionate Barbering Assessor/Teacher to join its Hair & Beauty department on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners in developing the technical and professional skills required to succeed in the barbering industry.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver engaging and industry-relevant barbering teaching sessions to learners across Levels 1–3.
*Plan, assess, and provide feedback in line with awarding body standards.
*Complete workplace assessments and support learners progressing through NVQ/VRQ units.
*Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessment evidence.
*Ensure teaching and assessment practices meet internal and external quality assurance requirements.
*Support learners’ employability skills and readiness for industry.
*Contribute to curriculum planning and continuous improvement within the department.
Requirements*Level 3 qualification in Barbering (or equivalent).
*A recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification (AET/DET/PGCE, TAQA/Assessor Award).
*Strong industry experience within the barbering sector.
*Experience assessing NVQ/VRQ Barbering qualifications.
*Enthusiasm for supporting learners and promoting high-quality training.
*An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
