Category Manager
Market Drayton (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
Other site locations are available in the Midlands/North West to work from.
Role will require UK travel to other sites.
Adele Carr Recruitment is proud to be representing a leading European FMCG organisation in the search for a Category Manager to join their Procurement team, looking after the packaging division.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a defined category area, managing significant spend and shaping strategy to deliver long-term commercial value. This will be a role with a great technical understanding and would value candidates that understand engineering lifecycle and manufacturing
You’ll play a key role in driving performance, strengthening supplier partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders across the business.
Reporting into Group Procurement, you will manage categories with an annual spend of approximately 60m, developing and implementing robust strategies aligned with both UK business units and wider group objectives.

We’re looking for a commercially astute procurement professional who combines analytical strength with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
You will have:
*Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
*Strong understanding of procurement and category management principles
*Experience managing medium scale spend within a complex organisation
*Confident communication and influencing skills
*Strategic mindset with strong analytical capability
*Fluency in English
