Job Description:
Account Manager
*Annual Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 depending on experience
*Location: Leatherhead
*Job Type: Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week)
This role is primarily office-based and customer-facing, dedicated to providing technical selection and advice, responding to inbound enquiries, and developing commercial opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to sales.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Use technical knowledge to assist with product selection for customers and specifiers.
*Provide pre and post-sale installation advice.
*Develop a thorough understanding of HVAC systems and controls.
*Travel to sites to advise on equipment selection and consider installation requirements.
*Support installation and service teams.
*Respond promptly to incoming enquiries and prepare accurate, timely quotations.
*Identify opportunities for equipment sales, planned maintenance, and upgrades.
*Proactively follow up on quotations and develop new sales opportunities.
*Support marketing activities and represent the company at selected trade shows and on LinkedIn.
*Maintain accurate CRM records and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum 3 years’ sales experience, preferably in HVAC.
*Experience within an engineering or technical environment is desirable.
*A full UK driving licence and residence within 45 minutes of Leatherhead.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Excellent attention to detail, particularly in quotation preparation.
*Proactive, organised, and commercially aware mindset.
*An interest in engineering (formal qualification advantageous).
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Hubspot, and Sage.
*Knowledge of SharePoint and Simpro is advantageous.
