Paraplanner
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Location: Berkhamsted (Hybrid working)
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 9:00am - 5:30pm
We’re looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join a well-established financial services firm based in Berkhamsted.
If you have a strong background in paraplanning or financial services and are looking to develop your career with a company that values your expertise, we want to hear from you! This role offers a mix of office-based and hybrid working arrangements after training.
Key Responsibilities:
*Draft Suitability Reports (New Money, Fund Switches, Pension Transfers, etc.)
*Conduct financial product research using tools like FE Analytics, Cashcalc, and Defaqto
*Manage new business submissions and complete data entry tasks
*Prepare meeting documentation and assist advisers in client communications
*Act as a point of contact for clients and providers when advisers are unavailable
*Ensure adherence to compliance standards in all activities
*Maintain CRM systems (e.g., XPlan, Intelligent Office)
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Essential:
*2+ years’ experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar role within the financial services sector
*GCSE English & Maths (Grade C or above)
*Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
*Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Ability to analyse and interpret numerical data
Desirable:
*CII Level 4 Diploma or working towards it (R01-R06)
*Familiarity with XPlan, Intelligent Office, or similar CRM systems
*Experience in an IFA environment
