Job Description:
Business Development Manager (Capital Equipment)
*£55,000 basic salary (depending on experience) + performance-related bonus
*Immediate start
*Home-based role (remote)
Position Summary
Are you a sales professional with experience in developing new business, selling capital equipment/high-value machinery?


If you have a background in sales, account management, or business development, and an interest in the manufacturing industry, this is an excellent opportunity to work for a global organization


Key Responsibilities
*Handle inbound and outbound sales calls
*Manage leads generated by inbound marketing
*Proactively generate new leads and build a strong sales pipeline
*Identify new customers and grow existing accounts
*Manage pricing discussions and negotiations
*Respond to machinery and equipment inquiries
*Follow up with potential customers to close sales
*Oversee sales transactions, including invoicing and after-sales service
*Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Logistics, and Project Management)
*Occasionally attend industry exhibitions and trade shows across Europe


Requirements
*Have a capital equipment background in sales, account management, or business development in the manufacturing industry,
*Ability to work independently and take initiative
*Experience within the manufacturing industry (preferred)
*Competitive, confident, and results-driven mindset
*Strong teamwork and communication skills, working with global colleagues
*Excellent telephone manner and the ability to engage with professionals at all levels (from Engineers to CEOs)
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, sales, or account management
*Proficiency in using LinkedIn and other platforms to identify and connect with key contacts
