Job Description:
Tour Operations Executive
*Annual Salary: £26,500 plus additional on-call compensation circa £2,000
*Location: York City Centre
*Job Type: Full-time
*Working Hours: Majority of the time you will be working Monday to Friday with occasional weekend cover needed (days off back in lieu during the week)
We are excited to announce the opening for a Tour Operations Executives within our clients Tour Operations department. These roles are crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of holiday tours and providing support and confidence to Tour Managers, enabling them to deliver outstanding experiences to clients.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Act as the primary contact for Tour Managers, providing them with the necessary support and information to ensure a successful tour.
*Coordinate all logistics including hotels, transport, meals, guides, and activities, ensuring all arrangements are accurate and delivered on time.
*Manage on-tour disruptions by being the point of communication for any delays, cancellations, or last-minute changes.
*Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure high standards and reliable service delivery.
*Keep tour data accurate ensuring that all systems are updated with the correct information.
*Handle on-call duties for five weeks per year – you will receive £500 per week for being on call.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in tour operations or a similar role within the travel industry.
*Strong ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with Tour Managers, team members, and external partners.
*Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
*Experience in handling logistical arrangements and dealing with on-tour disruptions.
*Comfortable using digital tools and maintaining accurate and up-to-date data.
*Flexibility to work on a rotational shift basis, including weekends during peak periods.
