Collingwood Care Home is a newly commissioned specialist care home in Clapham, London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 80 en suite bedrooms across two floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia care and residential mental health support within a safe and clinically led environment.
Maintenance Manager
*£17.00 per hour
*Full time contract
*Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
*5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
The Role
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the care home building, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard, supporting a safe, comfortable and well maintained environment for residents, visitors and staff.
You will carry out routine maintenance and repairs throughout the home, including minor electrical, plumbing and general building tasks. You will monitor the condition of equipment and building systems, ensuring any issues are addressed promptly and safely.
Your responsibilities will also include regular safety checks, testing alarm systems and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. You will support the upkeep of outdoor areas, assist with maintenance projects and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will help ensure the home remains safe, functional and welcoming for residents living with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions.
What We Are Looking For
*Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management or a similar role
*Practical knowledge of general building maintenance including minor electrical, plumbing and repairs
*Good understanding of health and safety procedures
*Strong organisational and problem solving skills
*Ability to work independently and manage maintenance tasks effectively
