TRAINEE SMART REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Hedin Automotive is looking for a Trainee SMART Repair Technician to join the team. If your eager to learn, motivated and have good attention to detail this could be a great opportunity to begin a career in the automotive repair industry.
YOUR ROLE.
As a SMART Repair Trainee, you will be working alongside a qualified Technician in the team providing hands on support to learn all aspects of the role including, body prep (masking, sanding), colour match, spray, and paint finish, on vehicles involved in collisions and other incidents.
Don’t worry if you’re just starting out — we have the expertise, tools, and equipment to support you as you begin your SMART Repair career. You’ll work closely with an experienced mentor who will guide you as you learn and practise the duties listed below.
The main duties of the role include:
*Examine vehicles to identify additional work for repair
*Surface Preparation
*Wheel refurbishments
*Cosmetic paint repairs
*Interior seat fabric repairs
*Minor dent removals
*Painting to the manufacturer paint specification
*Document all work performed
*Adhere to health and safety requirements
YOUR PROFILE.
*Desire to work in the automotive industry, repairing vehicles
*Physical and manual dexterity and the ability to undertake detailed repair work
*Commit to on-the-job training for 12 months
*Must have eligibility to work in the UK
*Full, clean, UK driving licence
*A positive and Hard-working attitude

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

During your 6–12-month trainee period your progress will be aligned to our "improver plan" and subject to a successful first year as a Trainee, your salary will be reviewed and increased.
