What you will do:
*Maintain membership of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and adhere to all professional conduct codes, including keeping your Continuing Professional Development up to date.

*Support the Valuation and Estates Team Leader by providing professional advice on the Council’s commercial investment and operational property portfolios, including leasing, acquisition, sales, valuation, property management, and rationalisation.

*Provide expert advice on the Council’s residential property portfolio, including acquisitions, sales, and valuations.

*Lead estates projects with revenue implications of up to £50,000 per annum or capital values of up to £500,000.

*Act as the primary point of contact for over 2,000 commercial property tenants of the Council.

*Deliver property and valuation advice to Council project teams across departments including Regeneration, Housing, Highways, and Education.

*Support the Council’s growth agenda by maximising investment portfolio revenue, generating capital receipts, and delivering savings through property rationalisation and efficient use of operational stock.

*Implement RICS best practice across all activities and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

*Ensure compliance with procedures for file structures and database management, keeping records accurate and up to date.
