We are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to join our client a logistics company. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sales or business development within the transport sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and maintaining robust relationships with existing clients.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities within target markets to expand the company’s client base.
*Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
*Understand client needs and tailor freight solutions to meet these requirements effectively.
*Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that client needs are understood and met with innovative and efficient solutions.
*Engage in field work occasionally to meet with clients and prospects, enhancing face-to-face interactions and understanding of client environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales or business development role within a transport or logistics environment.
*Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue growth.
*Strong understanding of the shipping and logistics industry.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with clients at all levels.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
