Travel Consultant (Part-Time)
Stoke on Trent
£12.71 per hour plus commission and flexible working

My client is an established boutique travel business specialising in personalised, high-touch leisure travel is seeking an experienced Travel Consultant to join the team on a part-time basis. The business prides itself on expert advice, exceptional customer service and building long-term client relationships that result in memorable, tailored travel experiences.

The Role

This is a hands-on position suited to someone with proven experience within the travel industry and a strong understanding of how leisure travel packages are structured, priced and booked.
You will play a key role in managing enquiries, supporting sales activity and overseeing bookings from initial enquiry through to post-booking liaison with tour operators and suppliers.
The role is hourly paid with commission linked to confirmed sales and offers a blend of office-based and remote working.
Hours will vary between 15 - 20 hours per week, depending on business demand.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales
*Managing inbound and outbound customer enquiries via telephone, email and messaging
*Confidently discussing and structuring travel packages (flights, accommodation, transfers and added extras)
*Liaising with tour operators and suppliers throughout the enquiry and booking process
*Supporting clients from enquiry through to confirmed booking and beyond
*Contributing to sales performance and revenue generation
*Delivering consistently high levels of personalised customer service

Administration & Systems
*Managing enquiries and bookings accurately using back-office and booking systems
*Maintaining detailed and up-to-date client records
*Producing correspondence and documentation using Microsoft Office
*Liaising with suppliers post-booking to ensure smooth service delivery
*Supporting general administrative tasks as required

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:
*Previous experience within the travel industry
*Strong knowledge of structuring and booking leisure travel packages
*Confident and professional telephone manner
*Experience liaising with tour operators and suppliers
*Competent using Microsoft Office and CRM/booking systems
*Organised, reliable and able to work independently

Desirable:
*Background in personalised or boutique travel services
*Comfortable working in a flexible or hybrid environment
