Role OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Practitioner to join the team at Slough Children’s Centres as a Nursery Nurse. This ongoing locum role offers the chance to work in a supportive early years environment where you will help deliver high-quality education, care, and supervision for young children.

What You Will Do*Deliver engaging early learning activities that support the developmental needs of each child.
*Contribute to daily nursery operations, including curriculum delivery, safeguarding, and health and safety practices.
*Work collaboratively with local primary schools to support children transitioning between early years settings and formal education.
*Promote the nursery service by engaging with parents, schools, and the wider community.
*Attend staff meetings and planning sessions, contributing creative ideas to enhance the centre’s services.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure all OFSTED standards and regulatory requirements are met.
Requirements*Relevant qualification in Early Years or Childcare (such as Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification).
*Experience working within an early years or nursery setting.
*Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and early years frameworks.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Commitment to providing high-quality care and education for young children.
