Facilities Manager for a London University is required to take full operational responsibility for a busy, service-led estate within this prestigious creative organisation. An experienced Facilities Manager is required to oversee the day-to-day estates and building services operations of a busy, public-facing environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for facilities management, building services, contractor management, compliance and operational service delivery.
You will manage a total in-house team of 13 including:
*Facilities Assistant
*Technical Support team
*Maintenance team
*Front of House team
*Outsourced Catering contract
Key Responsibilities
*Oversee building services and estates operations
*Manage hard services and soft services contractors
*Lead maintenance operations including reactive maintenance and PPM programmes
*Ensure full health & safety and statutory compliance
*Manage contractors, suppliers, SLAs and KPIs
*Oversee M&E services, building infrastructure and facilities systems
*Support project works, service improvements and operational initiatives
*Maintain high levels of customer service in a busy operational environment
*Lead and motivate teams, driving accountability and service standards
The role requires a strong people manager who can lead from the front, hold teams accountable and maintain high operational standards.
Core hours are typically 9–5 with some flexibility, with occasional out-of-hours oversight where required.
