The management accountant is essential to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage monthly reporting processes for stock and stock-related balances across multiple brands within the group.
*Ensure accuracy and completeness of stockholding costs, including warehousing, carrier, packaging, freight, duty, and handling costs.
*Prepare detailed monthly cost analyses with variance reports against budgets and prior years, providing operational commentary in collaboration with budget holders.
*Prepare weekly sales, COGS, and commission reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting into the accounting system.
*Handle reconciliations for accounts such as accruals, prepayments, and capitalised freight costs.
*Assist the finance team during statutory audits by addressing audit queries and compliance requests.
*Collaborate with logistics, retail operations, and commercial finance teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
*Contribute to annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes as needed.
*Work with IT to ensure ERP system integrations are functioning effectively.
The Successful Candiate Will Be:
*Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA
*Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Sumifs, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
*Have strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills and be resilient in managing deadlines independently.
*Retail or multi-site operations experience is preferred but not essential.
*Have a flexible and positive approach to new tasks/projects.
*Be a collaborative team player with strong professional communication skills.
