We are looking for an Accounts Payable Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established and successful company based in Swindon.
Main Duties:
1.AP Operations Management
*Oversee end-to-end AP processes (invoice receipt, validation, coding, approval workflow, payment processing, reconciliation).
*Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments across global entities.
*Manage month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP.
*Monitor AP aging and resolve outstanding issues.
2. Global Coordination & Compliance
*Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., VAT, GST, withholding tax).
*Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to company policies.
*Manage FX and intercompany
*Support internal and external audits.
*Standardize global AP processes and implement best practices.
3. Team Leadership & Development
*Lead, mentor, and develop a global AP team.
*Allocate workload and monitor team performance against KPIs.
*Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
*Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
4. Process Improvement & Systems
*Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation.
*Improve invoice processing cycle time and reduce manual intervention.
*Develop and track AP metrics and dashboards.
5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
*Act as the main point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders.
*Resolve complex payment disputes and escalations.
*Collaborate with Operations, Contracting and Finance teams.
We are looking for someone who has experience working in a similar role and has a full understanding of the entire Accounts Payable function. As well as a friendly team member who is good at communicating and managing a small team.
