Financial Control Accountant (12-Month FTC)Our client, Addleshaw Goddard, is seeking a Financial Control Accountant to join its growing Group Finance function on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of entity-level reporting across multiple jurisdictions while developing technical accounting, compliance, and taxation expertise.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will contribute to financial control processes, statutory reporting, and audit coordination within a collaborative and high-performing finance environment.
Key Responsibilities*Prepare statutory financial statements for overseas LLP entities in accordance with UK GAAP and local IFRS requirements.
*Coordinate external audits and act as a key liaison between auditors and internal stakeholders.
*Ensure accurate statutory accounts adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Support German VAT and tax compliance, including preparation of monthly and annual returns.
*Reconcile local tax accounts with internal ledger systems.
*Support month-end accounting activities and regional balance sheet control.
*Contribute to process improvements and assist with new system implementation projects.
Requirements*Qualified accountant (all professional qualifications considered).
*Ideally 1+ years post-qualification experience in a finance or accounting role.
*Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
*Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting audit processes.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational capability.
*Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
*Ability to manage workload effectively and take ownership of deliverables.
