Role OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Compliance Officer to join the Fire Safety Team within Shropshire Council. This ongoing locum role offers full-time hours with a competitive hourly rate of £23.44 to £25.61.
In this position, you will support the Council in maintaining high standards of fire safety compliance across its property portfolio, ensuring that buildings meet statutory regulations and safety standards. You will play a key role in coordinating fire safety improvement works and promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the organisation.

What You Will Do*Support fire safety remediation works across the Council’s property portfolio.

*Ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.

*Review findings from fire risk assessments and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.

*Assist with benchmarking and monitoring fire safety standards across the estate.

*Contribute to the development and monitoring of fire safety compliance frameworks.

*Liaise with contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of safety measures.

*Promote and support a strong organisational culture of fire safety awareness and compliance.

Requirements*Experience working within fire safety compliance, building safety, or property compliance environments.
