Company Accountant | Sheffield | £40,000 (Full time or 4 days per week)
The Opportunity
Growing owner led SME based near Sheffield (<£2m turnover currently) have an opportunity for a hands on and versatile Company Accountant.
Reporting to the MD you’ll own all day to day financial management and reporting for the business (management accounts pack including P&L and balance sheet).
You’ll also support additional analysis and MI – drilling into cost and profit by project – providing valuable insight around true costs and profit streams / margins to inform decision making.
You’ll also support with general business management / office management and be someone who is hyper organised and hands on.
It’s a varied position and you need to be someone who enjoys picking up tasks as they land on the desk! You’ll have no fear of getting stuck into transactional finance processes (AP / AR / Payroll / Expenses / Reconciliations ) and have a natural ability to automate those core financial controls and procedures.

Required:
*AAT qualification as a minimum.
*Experience of bookkeeping / management accounting within an SME.
*Someone comfortable with a variety of tasks that may well include non-finance tasks linked to general business organisation and driving professionalisation.
*Ability to streamline processes and procedures to enhance efficiencies.
*Ability to work with autonomy.
