Job Description:
Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Team Manager to join their Duty Team

Responsibilities of this role:
*Lead and oversee daily Duty operations, ensuring timely and safe responses to referrals.
*Make threshold decisions for Early Help, CIN, CP, Section 47, and urgent safeguarding actions.
*Allocate and direct work to Duty social workers, providing clear managerial guidance.
*Provide risk management oversight, including urgent home visits and crisis response.
*Quality-assure Duty recordings, decisions, and statutory timescales.
*Coordinate with key partners (police, health, education) to support multi-agency safeguarding.
*Support team members during high-pressure Duty days and promote good practice.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 year’s experience working as a Qualified social worker
