The RoleAs an Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior Accountant, you will play an important role within a collaborative team, providing high-quality accounting services to a varied client base.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements
*Producing management accounts
*Preparing and submitting VAT and CIS returns
*Supporting tax compliance and assisting with HMRC queries
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships
*Working on ad hoc accounting and finance projects
*Supporting senior team members with client portfolio work
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice (essential)
*AAT qualified or equivalent
*ACCA part-qualified or looking to study ACCA (study support provided)
*Experience using Xero accounting software (preferred)
*Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis
*Good working knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT and tax compliance
*Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
*Strong communication skills with a proactive and positive attitude
