About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Assembly & Test Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing organisation.
This role will involve assembling mechanical systems, carrying out product testing, and ensuring products meet required quality and performance standards.
You will play a key role in supporting production operations by building and validating mechanical assemblies in line with engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities *Assemble sub-assemblies and complete mechanical systems using engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions
*Carry out mechanical assembly and testing activities in line with production schedules
*Perform functional, performance, and environmental tests on products
*Set up and operate test rigs, fixtures, and instrumentation
*Identify and report product or material issues and support problem resolution
*Maintain accurate records in accordance with quality management systems
*Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment
*Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Welfare procedures
Requirements*Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
*Previous experience in mechanical assembly within a production or engineering environment
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
*Well organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
*A proactive approach to problem solving
